A power and control wheel diagram describes the tactics that an abuser can use to keep a victim in an abusive relationship. There are several different types of power and control wheels that can describe different abusive situations.

Power and Control Wheel – Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault. This was developed by the Domestic Abuse Intervention Project in Duluth, MN. The Duluth Model.

Power and Control Wheel– Animal Abuse and Domestic Violence. This was developed by The SPCA New Zealand.

Power and Control Wheel – Domestic Violence in the Deaf Community. This was developed by DeafHope.

Power and Control Wheel (violence) – Abuse of People with Developmental Disabilities by Caregivers. This was developed by the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
